When mounting attachment points, see that the chain link is properly positioned. The clevis must be adjusted in the pull direction, must have sufficient clearance and must not rest on edges or the attachment point.

Once mounted and at least once every year, attachment points must be inspected by a qualified person. Before use e.g. by the slinger, sling swivels must be visually inspected for tight bolt fit, incipient cracks, deformations, strong corrosion. In addition, you should check for the completeness of the attachment point and the use of the proper bolts with thread depths.
If an attachment point shows incipient cracks and indents with a cross-section loss of more than 10% or damage of the thread, traces of strong corrosion or deformations, or if the chain link shows an elongation by more than 5%, the attachment point must be discarded and replaced with a new one.
